Parsons Heath Medical Centre – Proposed Extension
Colchester Medical Practice is currently progressing plans to create a new healthcare facility for practice patients which is aimed at reducing pressures placed on the practice in terms of a general lack of clinical capacity at all existing surgeries, to cater for the practices growing patient population. The planned new facility will incorporate six new clinical rooms, together with administration space, car parking facilities and associated landscaping.
The proposed new facility will be located next to the Parsons Heath Surgery, where new purpose-built clinical facilities will be available for use by practice patients from all of our sites: Shrub End Road, Wimpole Road, Castle Gardens and Parsons Heath. This will allow us to offer more services than ever to keep up with increasing demand.
The plans are currently at an early stage; however, a planning application has been lodged with Colchester Borough Council, as work continues with the North East Essex CCG around the necessary NHS approvals for the proposed new facility. Subject to receiving all the required planning and NHS approvals, it is hoped that construction work will start on the new facility later on in the year.
The practice would welcome any feedback from patients about our plans to create a new facility. Please provide feedback in wring to the practice or email any feedback using the following practice email address:
